It’s that time of year again!

I’ve never had so much space to work on my favourite craft and not have to pack up so we have room to eat. I can leave it out ready for the next time I have a spare hour or two.

oops. A little blurred but you can see that I’m making Christmas cards. I’m also making January Birthday cards.

Some finished. Others I need more craft material. Our local craft store has closed temporary because their stock is sitting on the wharf in Sydney where the dock workers are having a strike. Ebay may be my only hope to finish them in time for Christmas mail out.

Getting back into an old hobby.

I can’t believe it’s been nearly four years since I many anyone a card of some kind. With my back trouble, double surgery, arthritis and my erratic Fibromyalgia, then trying to sell a house for almost a year, I finally did it. I went through the hobby boxes searching for cardboard, glue, stamps, cut outs and stickers. These cards I made today. They’re a mix of my photography and actually creating cards from bits and pieces made from scratch. Although my fingers cramped up with the fine work, I don’t think I did too badly. Using my photos and the computer for printing, also gave me a break from the fiddly stuff. I always enjoyed this hobby and look forward again to rainy days, sticky fingers and creating.  🙂
