Late August Winds -brought out a nice surprise.

Late August winds have wreaked havoc in the garden over the past week. We found this very bold sunflower lying across the concrete seat in the garden. Tired loosely, for now, its height surprised us.

This is going to be a big flower. It grew from a dropped seed from somewhere.
