We haven’t grown potatoes in our garden previously but after we have had thriving spinach for three years in the same plot, it was time for some soil regeneration. There’s more to dig up when we have eaten these. Of course, we didn’t go without spinach for very long. They happily grew from seed in another plot where the previous season of lettuce grew.
